USTA QuickStart Tennis
USTA QuickStart Tennis is an exciting new play format for learning and enjoying tennis.
Why QuickStart Tennis?
Originally developed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size, it is also ideal for individuals with disabilities or with differing abilities and circumstances. For seniors, it's a perfect alternative to the game of Pickelball.
For kids, QuickStart is tennis scaled down. The format is divided into two different levels, ages 8 and under and ages 10 and under. It's the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis - and keep them playing. Here are two terrific articles on QuickStart Tennis:
- "Yonkers Tennis Center Gets Kids Competing Early," The Journal News, April 17, 2009
- "QuickStart is a Great Start!," Cary, NC
